  FOOD FEST As a part of Social connect and Responsibility. The department of Computer Science has conducted a Food Fest titled ”FOODIES DELIGHT-2023” at college premises, our stall was named as “STREET TREAT”. The event was a grand success in terms of wide variety of food items and creative decoration of stalls from each class. There were 11 stalls. Every stall had different varieties of foods to sell. It was a fine learning experience for the student organizers to acquire entrepreneurial skills. This helped students to learn teamwork, collaboration, creativity. The idea behind the competition was to teach students to be good entrepreneurs in the future. Every stall did well and the students worked hard for the fest. This food fest was a grand success which was arranged by our department. We all enjoyed the event. This was a great event were we all learnt about team work and entrepreneurial skills and ideas.   HERITAGE WALK AND CRAFTS CORNER Mandaragiri Betta is the rightful destination for a fulfilling weekend trip. Gaining a popular weekend spot, Mandaragiri Hill is in the Tumkur district in the Indian state of Karnataka. This little mesmerizing hillock is approximately a 75 km drive from Bangalore, the capital of the state.   WATER CONSERVSTION Regarding, water consumption we learned about how to use water in a limited way or how to use the water only for necessary uses and how to store rainwater and use it for daily chores or daily uses without wasting the water how to conserve it and store it and use it for the further uses. We saw how the water has been conserved using a small type of pond are cement bucket, and a tank type, which is used to store the rainwater and which was used for bathing and washing vessel purpose. ORGANIC FARMING AND WASTE MANAGEMENT Tumakuru District has its jurisdiction with ten taluks, out of which five are under KVK Hirehalli. Tumakuru district has three agro-ecological zones out of which two comes under KVK Hirehalli viz., Central Dry Zone (Zone IV -Pavagada, Koratagere, Sira and Madhugiri) and Eastern Dry Zone (Zone V -Tumakuru). The district receives an average annual rainfall of 665 mm (Average of 2007 to 2017), whereas annual normal rainfall of 1951 to 2000 was 739 mm. The geographical area of the district is 10.6 lakh ha, out of which 5.41 lakh ha is arable land, characterized mostly by red sandy loam and red loam soils. Photos to view:

 Plantation and Adaptation of Tree Plants (land plants, embryophytes) are of monophyletic origin from a freshwater ancestor that, if still extant, would be classified among the charophycean green algae. Plants, but not charophyceans, possess a life history involving alternation of two morphologically distinct developmentally associated bodies, sporophyte and gametophyte. Body plan evolution in plants has involved fundamental changes in the forms of both gametophyte and sporophyte and the evolutionary origin of regulatory systems that generate different body plans in sporophytes and gametophytes of the same species. Comparative analysis, based on molecular phylogenetic information, identifies fundamental body plan features that originated during radiation of charophycean algae and were inherited by plants.
